    1. Can I sign up for 1 week camp?
  • Sorry, our minimum enrollment period is 2 weeks and up to 3 weeks.
    2. Will you provide food during the camp?
  • Each camp attendee will bring a vegetarian sack lunch from home. Snacks (fruit, juice, crackers, etc) will be provided during camp. If for some reason, there is an issue with sack lunch, you may sign up for the optional meal plan where we will provide a sandwich-type meal during lunch.
    3. What if my child has food allergies?
  • We will ensure that all children who have food allergies are properly identified and will not serve foods that contain those allergens.
    4. Is there early drop-off and late pick-up (after camp care)?
  • Yes. One hour pre-camp and after care or late pick-up until 6 PM. There may be a nominal fee for post-camp care. Camp times are M-F 8:30 am-4:40 pm.
    5. How old does my child have to be for the camp?
  • The camp is designed for children based on the grade they will be entering in the Fall of 2019. It is for Kindergarten to 8th graders.
    6. Can I volunteer as a parent?
  • Yes definitely! All parents are encouraged to volunteer for at least one or more days during the camp. We will have a volunteer orientation day and time set up prior to the camp.
    7. Is there a shuttle service or carpooling available to and from Chinmaya Mission?
  • Carpooling will be organized by the camp. If there is sufficient interest expressed by the parents for a paid shuttle service, we will strive to offer this service. If you are interested in carpooling or a shuttle service, please indicate this during the registration process.
    8. Who will be teaching the classes and what are the benefits of this camp?
  • Under the guidance of Pujya Swami Sharanananda and Respected spiritual guides, we will offer quality value-based classes and activities such as yoga, bhajans and class time in the morning to nurture their spiritual personality and growth. There will be professional qualified teachers to nurture their intellectual curiosity, skill development and strengthen their physical body during the afternoon activities and the weekly Friday field trip.

    9. How do I enroll my child in the program?
  • We will be sending out a link for registration via email and will have details and a registration link on our website, www.chinmaya-yamunotri.org. Registration will be limited due to the nature of the classes and popularity of the enrichment classes. Register early to avoid disappointment.
    10. What is a typical day like at camp?
  • The mornings will be dedicated to spiritually-themed classes and yoga. After lunch and recess, the children will be provided with enrichment/fun classes. There will be sufficient juice and snack breaks

    12. Are there additional costs outside the camp fee and what does the camp fee include?
  • The camp fee includes all camp activities, material fees, and snacks. Additional costs may be applicable for some field trips or the lunch purchase option. For those who may be using the shuttle service and/or before and after care, nominal additional costs may apply.
